Dirty Lil Rock’n’Roller
Momma thinks she looks so smart
Dressed in her freshly pressed
Private school uniform
Red jumper, striped tie
Immaculate white shirt
Tartan skirt and knee high white socks
Momma thinks she must have sports today
Taking her rucksack that looks so full
Momma tidies up her room
But her good little girl has made her bed
There are no clothes on the floor
She really is an angel
Momma is confused
Her darling daughter’s sports gear
Is in the wash basket
But surely she had it with her?
Momma doesn’t know there’s a band playing tonight
She wouldn’t recognise her angel in her mini skirt
Ripped tee-shirt, thigh high fish-nets and high heels
She’s not allowed make-up so who is this lil slut?
Made up like a cheap little tart rocking and bopping
And Oh my god! Is she smoking too? What is that smell?
The little angel ‘phoned to say she’ll be having dinner at her friends
She’ll be home by ten; they’re working on a project.
Sweet little girl apologises to Momma
She’s five minutes late
Pristine as ever
In her smart private school uniform
Not a trace left of the Dirty Lil Rock’n’Roller
