Back to Reality

Down in the dugout,
the coach
is screaming
pitch.
Over on the frontline,
they’re dying
in a
ditch.

Back in the city,
the stocks
are going
down.
Out in the country,
the crops
are going to
drown.

Home, on the T.V.,
the man
is yelling
pray.
Up in the heavens,
the ozone
melts
away.

Here, in the market,
they complain
about the
cost.
Deep in the ocean,
the whale
is feeling
lost.
