Infinitesimally Small

Infinitesimally Small
Like a speck
of dust
like a culture
on a slide
like a sub-atomic particle
of astounding insignificance
I see the world
as I sit
in awe
on top of the roof
on a clear bright night
and gaze at the stars
I see us for what we are
and wonder
if somewhere
far, far away
someone is sitting
and feeling
just like me
infinitesimally small
