Cats, Poetry & Death #39 – Home at Last

Home at Last
Missing for so long
Hearts breaking
Souls tormented
The Poet´s mind is empty
Fearing the worst
Long days searching
Long nights calling
Listening
Watching
Waiting
Not writing
Still fearing tragedy
A week goes by
His companion and keeper
Still live in hope
Each looking out the window
Watching
Calling
Waiting
Still not writing
Still afraid of the dark hand of fate
A cry in the night
A scream of open the door
A flurry of fur
A whoop of joy
A dance of delight
The wanderer returns
Poet and Cats are as one again
At home
At peace
At last
